Hello everyone,
I recently quit my job as a speech writer at a PR company. All that pretentious wordplay finally hit a nerve. After years, I have now summoned the courage to pursue what the original motive was (for me in life). I have decided to start a business of my own. The idea is to bring together the amateur literary geniuses of this generation. I've already started freelancing. I figured this way, not only will I earn some money, but also come to know what are the other things going out there.. the kind of things people read. I know all this sounds very vague, but I had to start somewhere. The business plan is not complete, yet. So any advise and suggestions are welcome.
I can't believe I talked my best buddy into this. On a side note, I really need to get him out of my house. He's been living here for the past two days. He said that he lost his house keys. I believe him, but after brainstorming together all day, I just need to be alone in the evening. I dunno how to tell him about the options. We have been friends for almost 15 years.
Looking forward to the response.
Thanks.

Beginning a Business is one of the difficult task. One should be very much aware of the business tips before he starts with a new business. Here are some of the tips to be kept in mind while starting a new business. Always choose an area of your interest to open up a business. Always Offer what people want to buy ,not just what you want to sell. Find a new method to keep the costs low. When planning a business, overestimate the expenses and underestimate the revenues. Always focus on sales and marketing. Test and measure your things and also find ways to increase the profits. Business is also about learning new things. When you learn more, you can earn more. get advice and tips from the business coach who can guide you in your planning of your business.

I totally agree with RachelNRomero on every point.
Especially the point on selling what is in demand - not just want you want to sell. I have seen several do this and wonder why they never get any sales.
Good luck.

Choosing a business is the most important. Always choose a business based on what you love doing, on what you already know and are good at.

As @RachelNRomero mentioned, starting a business IS a difficult task.

Make sure you have you done thorough market research for your product/service. The insights from this activity will help you gauge the demand for your product/service. Demand analysis will give an idea about the demographic, age, etc. of your target audience. Bringing in a product/service that is already out there would mean that you have that many competitions out there and you have to do something different to attract customers.

Marketing your product/service is of utmost importance. Getting the word out and building a reputation in the market. Nowadays an active online presence and reputation help a business boost their sales and generate revenue. By active online presence, I mean an ongoing blogging and social media presence. Building this will take time but hang in there and keep at it.

Also, a reliable customer support channel will take your business a long way. Responding to all the questions and concerns your customers have as soon as possible helps you build trust with your customer base.

Finally, remember that it would take you a while before you have started "making money" from your new business.

The most difficult task is to start a business. Moreover, I realized that you do not have a clear business plan. This is bad. Without it, you will work hard and you will continue to work as a freelancer. You need a clear vision of the situation and a plan for how to achieve this. Imagine you are writing an essay. First, you look for information, then structure it, write and check for errors here (https://edubirdie.com/check-my-grammar/) After that, you get a great job and you understand in which direction to further develop

It's great that you've decided to follow your desires and do something that pleases you. I had a similar situation, I was also working as a writer in one company, but I wasn't exactly what I wanted to do. I'm a literature lover, even write stores, and I've always wanted to help people with writing because many of them have difficulties with it. But I was afraid that maybe I'm not a professional and my writings aren't perfect, so I decided to do everything to improve my skills. When I have some doubts, I use https://wr1ter.com/ to get help. The tips I receive from a professional proofreader are priceless, the price is reasonable, and everything is always done on time. Besides, it helps to improve my skills by giving an example of how does perfect writing looks like.

According to the fresh-start effect, people are more likely to take action towards a goal after temporal landmarks that represent new beginnings. ... This feeling opens the path for people to initiate goal-oriented aspirational behaviors. Sometimes the effect occurs in anticipation of the new beginning.
