What role does HR play when it comes to someone's termination of lack there of. Is HR supposed to give the manager the options of what he can do with the employee OR is HR supposed to (for lack of better word) persuade a manager to terminate an employee if they feel it is in the company's best interest.

As we all are aware that HR is responsible for maintaining the decorum of the company, so he or she have the authority to scold any employee regarding his mischief behavior but do not have the authority to terminate the employee without the main head permission.

The HR department makes sure the employer has complied with employment and labor laws in making the decision to fire an employee.

End is the point at which a representative's employment closes. ... Business end can likewise be automatic - when a representative is fired by the business. Workers can be ended for cause. All things considered, a worker is terminated or rejected from their activity. Representatives can likewise be laid-off when there is no work accessible for them.

I had to smile reading your post. In many companies lawyers and general counsels are notoriously conservative animals. At the extreme, if you apply their advice, no manager would be able to give legitimate (legally binding) operations instructions to their staff without the approval in writing of the MD.

Donswift90,

At the corporation that I work for, HR has the final decision on whether to terminate or not. I find that this is helpful in tall corporations such as mine. They heavily consider the recommendation of the supervisor and superintendent and that builds HR - Departmental relationships that also become a factor in the recommendation. I believe this works well.

Along with the worker's supervisor or manager, human resources is responsible for explaining to an employee the reason for the termination. If the worker is terminated for misconduct, harassment or other reasons, human resources explains why the employee's actions are in violation of company policies.
