A friend of mine has no time any more to run his recruiting business and wants to sell it to me. Itís a business that recruits English teachers who want to come to Korea, and itís based on a recruiting fee that schools looking for teachers will pay. My idea (since I donít have the money to pay for what he paid when he bought it from another person) is to ask him what is the business worth for him at this point, and make a deal to pay him with a share of the income until his original number is fulfill and therefore buying him out.

So my question is: Is this a standard or a normal way of acquisition? If so, it is a good/bad idea? I have very little experience with this kind of situation and Iíll like to get some advice/ideas from people who have better knowledge.

Thank you in advance.
