View Full Version : Employees moonlighting for competition

A couple months ago the manager of my company quit to start his own directly competing company. I have recently discovered that some of my employees are moonlighting for him. Some of them are even taking paid vacation days to do so. This is in the construction industry and most of them are labour men or technicians so I don't think I could enforce a non-compete clause. What can I do?

Company loyalty is important, even if they're just laborers or technicians. I think you should communicate openly with your people. It is best to be direct with them regarding the issue. - Paul Savramis (http://oceans2003.org/paul-savramis/)

I agree, an open dialogue would be best to address the issues and find a way to satisfy both sides.
