View Full Version : How have you started an effective email list?

Recently I've created beautiful handmade products to sell, and I'd love to get a mailing list going. I understand that it's so important to have one...and yet, I don't know where to start. I'm afraid I may eventually run out of ideas and not keep the momentum going, or that I won't know how to sell without seeming pushy. I'm marketing to ladies between the ages of 16 - 34, who love detailed handmade crafts. What have you done to get your email list started - how did you get your first subscribers, and how did you come up with ideas and fuel for the newsletters to keep them interesting?

I believe that the best way to master the art of e-mail marketing is to learn from the people who do it best. Subscribe to your fav sources (inspirational, news websites, blogs, etc.) and watch what they do!
Create a list of their best CTAs, subject lines, conclusions, and so on. Remember about the importance of white space -don't make your e-mails look like a mush of uninteresting sentences.
Let your creativity juices flow but keep design simple & minimalistic. Use A/B testing to see, which subject lines, designs, and strategies in overall work for your clients best.
Hope this helps!

It's being a consumer data and especially the demographics of Female 16-34 age group, you can create your own email list by your blog. Creating an article with relevant heading and content, you can attract your target audience. Slowly you could find increase in blog traffic with regular reader. And now you can ask for their emails through subscription form. You can also implement this same strategy through social media channels. This is a time taking process.
And the next method is to purchase your needed email list from an email list providers. There are many email list providers in the market, I usually pruchase email list for my marketing campaigns from 'B2b Dataquest' they often provide email with some best offers. You can view the offer from here http://b2bdataquest.com/offers/
