How did you know you were actually ready to start and own your own business?

I mean... it does tend to take a certain kind of person to run their own business successfully, but it also takes funds, time, a good demographic available, etc, etc, etc.

So how did you decide that it was the next step you really wanted to take AND that you should take it?

I think we will never be ready, we just need to start, that's the most crucial thing

Being financially ready is one thing. Knowing you are in a good place financially and ready to potentially suffer through some tough times and having enough capital to get over it. But it just comes down to a feeling, a hunger in my gut that makes me want to take circumstances in my own hand and make things happen. And I keep on feeling that hunger in my gut DAILY. Which is different than a loosey goosey desire almost everyone has thinking they want to start their own business and how it will be great, not taking account how tough and scary it can be at times. That hunger in my gut will do ANYTHING it takes to make things work and I know that feeling.

For me, you'll know when: You have the passion for your new venture, you're a true believer in your idea, you have a product or service with good market, you have a plan, you have a great brand idea, you're ready to learn a lot, you know how to face failure, you're good at managing your time, and you understand the risks of owning a business.
