How important is the price in B2B selling?

Let's say company1 has bought products from company2 for years.

Then company3 offers exactly the same products to company1 but 20% cheaper than company2.

What the company1 will do (What most of companies1 will do)?

Do they begin to buy from company3 or not? Do they contact to company2 and ask 25% or more cheaper prices?

if the products and services offered are exactly the same, then I'm gonna choose the cheaper one

The joys of competition between businesses. Every business should keep an eye on their competition with annual updated research. This can help business2 keep ahead of upcoming business3. Creating loyalty rewards or other incentive, for customers, can help business2 keep business1 from running to business3. I feel like I'm in some sort of love triangle, haha! but yes, business2 or any business, should always, keep their eye on their competition.

if both are then you can choose the cheaper, once you get satisfied then go on to the next.

I agree in the final the price is the most important thing. The customer service does not count. If you can offer lower price yo win.
