I receive a lot of cheques for (relatively) small amounts in US Dollars. Anyone got agood recommendation for a UK bank either on rates (which aren't that important) or commission (very important).

Someone recommended smile (co-op internet). Comments?

Our bank tends to charge commission per overall transaction rather than per cheque. Meaning that it is cost effective to wait and collect a number of cheques and pay them in together, as there is only on fixed fee paid in that scenario.

It might be worth checking if your current bank does the same. They probably do, but I suspect that some banks may not.
