Selling your business or closing your doors may not mean you don't need liability insurance anymore. Be sure to talk with your insurance adviser.

Example:

Sold product on December 15, 2005
Cancel Insurance January 1, 2006
Customer injured by product January 15, 2006

You may still be responsible for the injury but your insurance won't cover you.

Talk with your adviser.

Insurance has become a part of the life of modern society. Life insurance and car insurance are the two most common forms of insurance. Health insurance and compensation for workers are also other common types of insurance. While insurance has become a part of most people's lives, not all understand how it works.

A discontinued operations policy provides products/completed operations liability coverage after a business is closed. It also can provide specific coverages for just one portion of a business that has closed.

I can totally agree, that we need more insurance companies, which can guarantee the reliable service for everyone. I've been searching for such company and looked on dozens of different insurance agencies all around United States, but the most reliable one was this ( https://www.general.com/articles/erie-vs-state-farm ), called General. A friend of mine has recommended it to me, and I'm pretty satisfied I've signed up papers with it.
