I have been working with 2 other friends on an Android app for the past year. 1 of the guy only worked on it on and off, and hasn't been contributing for more than half a year.
We carried on the project and completed it, and there's roughly less than 5% of work is his.
We are planning on creating a LLC and we are planning on creating additional apps on top of the current one in the future. We don't plan on include this guy as part of our LLC, but we are still planning to compensate him for the amount he had contributed for the first year or so once the app is released (if this app generate any kind of decent revenue from ads if at all.)
How do we go and do this, so we can avoid him coming back and sue us if our LLC ever make it somewhere someday?

The android application is certainly a very good idea. This will bring you closer to all the clients out there. - Steven C Wyer (http://3ci.agency/media/)
