Hi,

Does anyone knows why google did not index any other page than my index.html. I created sitemap, and I think my meta tags are ok, but in google search results there is only my index.html.

Thank you

Hello,

Don't be frustrated yet. For a start getting your website listed your index page is a begining. It helped me to submit the other pages of my website also. Google bots will find the rest of your site, they follow links on your pages. Look for some ebooks on developing a strategy to increase your page rank. Go to link exchange site, and sign up for a free account and start doing link exchanges.

Best advice; pateince(spllin sucks)

Sincerely
Duncan judson

Something has to be stopping it. Do you have a robots.txt?

How old is your site?
If its brand new it will take some time to index all the pages, even with a sitemap file.

Work on getting quality links to your site from directories and related websites. Google sees the number of links as a sign of the sites popularity.

I think this is great in any way. You should be proud of yourself :) It's getting harder and harder to get into Google's index

Ziveli:

Make sure you include a metatag such as this:

<meta name="robots" content="INDEX, FOLLOW" />

Have you checked the status of your sitemap on Google itself? They offer a management tool for sitemaps that allows you to see what the site crawler sees, including errors. Accounts are free if you don't already have one.

Could be a number of reasons. Check your google webmaster tools account (if you have one, if you don't, get one) for any errors. http://google.com.webmasters

Remember that it can take a while for your site to be indexed. Linking to it from other places on the Web can help get the process moving along faster. I also agree that you should check your META tags and take a look at your Google Webmaster Tools to make sure that everything is as it should be.

Well, there can be so many issues and reasons. I am trying to assess and give you some insights -
1. Check out for the existence of a file named - robots.txt (mentioned above @mbtmd) - It should be in the root folder of your site. Use FTP program or the cPanel/WHM or anything else provided by your provider. Check out google search to locate and know more about this file.

2. Create a webmasters account at google and submit your site to get cached. This might require you to create/upload some additional html file (google asks you to do this for some validation that you have access and are in control of the site and once done, it takes a while to get cached).

3. Submit your Sitemap to google. Google needs an XML sitemap which you can get generated from many sources on the internet - just search for XML Sitemap for google.

I think the above should help.

Note: Most of the above steps have been mentioned by members above, I have just tried to add to them and provide you hints on how to go about them.

Google takes time to index all the pages on your site. Be patient. It also depends how you created your site map. You should create a sitemap that changes daily if you plan to post on a daily purpose.

Wait for sometime, it may take sometime for google to index. It may be even 3 to 6 months.

Hello ziveli, you need to check the url of your website, actually when your website have to diffrent url that is with www and without www creates the problem, make sure your website have one url for every page, definitely your problem will solved, if your website in wordpress then re upload your website and change url in query.

Google's contact phone number is 1-866-246-6453 and their contact email is adwords-support@google.com, but please keep in mind you probably won't get a reply to your question via these channels

Get help from Google Support. Log into your Google account, then go to support.google.com. You will see a search bar into which you can type your issue above nine icons displayed in the middle of the screen. If you have a problem with one of these specific products, like Google Search or YouTube, click the icon.
