The importance of logos and branding by Tracie Dowell

Do you have your own business but don't have a logo? Do you have a logo but it was not professionally designed?

For those who underestimate the importance of having a strong logo you need to read on. Think of three companies who you recognize by their logo. I can think of: Coca Cola, Cingular Wireless and Target. Cingular and Target don't even have their business names in their logos but simply seeing the image reminds consumers of what business it is. Target is a perfect example of logo and branding gone right. The bulls eye image projects a message of being right on the money and has grown to be one of the largest retailers in the country. Don't you think Target understands the importance of their logo? You bet they do.

You may be wondering if that affects small businesses like it does for the big ones. Well, of course it does! When you need to have business cards made or stationery, you need to put your logo on those items. Every time you give someone a business card, they are reminded of your business and the logo can make or break you. Let me give you a scenario:

Mary has a small business that sells children's clothes. She has a small store and has only been in business for 3 months. She spent a good amount of money getting her business setup like getting her store and stocking it with inventory. When the time came for her to get business cards made, she figured she would skimp on them because she didn't want to pay more money for yet another business expense so she never got a logo made and just had her business name, address and phone number on it. Do you think her business cards stood out among the others her potential clients had?

Let me give the same scenario with the inclusion of a good logo:

Mary has a small business that sells children's clothes. She has a small store and has only been in business for 3 months. She spent a good amount of money getting her business setup like getting her store and stocking it with inventory. When the time came for her to get business cards made, she knew that in order to stand out among her competitors she needed to have a strong logo so her clients and potential clients would be able to remember her business and spread the word about it. She hired a professional graphic designer, had the most amazing logo made and she branded her entire business from the business cards to the huge sign of her logo on her wall inside her store. As a result, every time someone entered her store or received a business card, clients were impressed with her professionalism and strong presence and it was very easy for them to remember her store for repeat visits, PLUS they made sure to tell their friends about her store because it stood out in their mind.

If you still are not convinced that logos and branding play an integral part of a sucessful business, do yourself a favor and think of all the businesses that you can remember and think of their logo.

Business logo design is an important tool when it comes to promoting a company's products or services. But the logo must have a unique design that incorporates a design concept and colors etc. elements in a special way. Such a logo makes a lasting positive impression on potential customers.

Hindusthan machines proposed a cheap, portable paper-bag making machine (http://hindusthanmachines.org/) fabricated to produce paper-bags and reduce the usage of plastic bag for a green and safe society. The system is semi-automatic which is capable of producing a paper bag from a drawing sheets. The system can be implemented in a small scale industry for producing paper bags and it will automatically minimize the trend of plastic bags.

Logo is indeed a key brand element, and typically the most immediate visual association with a company, there's much more to a brand than just a logo. Brand: how people perceive your company.

Not only that, another important thing we need to know is that the logo must be efficient and in accordance with its use. However, creating a logo design must have a goal because that is the benefit of the logo for the company.

Branding is a greater holistic perspective of ways your clients experience your business enterprise. While a emblem is most effective a small easy mark, a emblem includes each single touch-point your customers have with your employer. Let's use Nike for instance and take into account the variations among a emblem and a logo..

When I choose the clothes or accessories to buy, it is obligatory to have a reliable supplier. For instance, I choose because they are ready to take your order and deliver it at your earliest convenience. Moreover, all the items are brand and quality. As I like.

The brand is the foundation of a company and the logo is the visual shortcut to the trademark of the brand. A logo identity system and a strong branding system are both crucial when marketing and promoting a consistent image and voice, but a brand speaks for itself.

Brand logo

Included bit from the web

Marking is a progressively all encompassing point of view of how your clients experience your organization. While a logo is just a little straightforward imprint, a brand incorporates each and every touch-point your clients have with your organization. We should utilize Nike for instance and think about the contrasts between a logo and a brand.

So, why is a logo important? Because it grabs attention, makes a strong first impression, is the foundation of your brand identity, is memorable, separates you from competition, fosters brand loyalty, and is expected by your audience.
