    Transferring a Sole Proprietorship
I currently have a sole proprietorship (small handmade business) in Florida and will potentially be moving to North Carolina this summer. What steps should I take to move my business? Do I terminate it completely in FL and start over in NC? Or are there things I can simply transfer?

Business resources and liabilities of a sole ownership are by and by claimed by the sole owner, not by a different business element. The sole owner can move her business by selling its unmistakable and elusive resources; in this way, moving the duty of maintaining the business to another proprietor.

Since a sole proprietorship represents the owner of the business, you cannot actually transfer a sole proprietorship to someone else. All the legal obligations and debts that you've undertaken throughout the operation of the business will remain with you and cannot be transferred to someone else.
