Filing Joint Tax Return With 2 Sole Proprietorships
My wife & I currently file income taxes jointly. We both will form separate sole proprietorships in 2005 for our separate businesses, both which operate out of our house. Can we still file a joint return?

    Sole Props
    Hi ~

Yes, you can still file jointly. Each Sole Proprietorship will need to be shown on a separate Schedule C attached to your personal 1040 income tax return.

That means you will need to keep track of the expenses and revenue for each sole prop separately.
