    Facebook, pinterest and instagram - If you own tangible products that can be presented clearly on images.

    Google adwords and SEO - For services businesses and software companies, including local business with store fronts.

    There are many more channels, just follow this ones.

    Its various ways of getting your business out there. Youtube ads are converting like crazy, Facebook ads are good as well. SEO is one of the best methods to get organic traffic to your business. Some free methods are niche related Facebook groups and google+ communities.

    I agree that Social Media is one of the best tool to promote your business and also boost backlinks to your website.
    You can also create blog post with your keywords in it as anchor text.

    Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube may be the best tool for that.
