On the off chance that you haven't perused it yet, I would prescribe "How to Win at the Sport of Business: If I Can Do It, You Can Do It" by Mark Cuban. The book has a viable method for identifying with any business person. It motivated me to take in my shortcomings and cultivate my qualities.

Have you heard of "Blue Ocean Strategy"?

Let me just quickly summarise a few takeaway points:
    1) Make the competition irrelevant instead of competing in the existing market.
    2) Create and capture NEW demands instead of exploiting existing demands.
    3) Pursuit of differentiation AND low cost instead of just choose differentiation OR low cost. (achieve "value innovation").

    Hope the above helps.
