    Does article length matter?
As Google's focus on getting their users only relevant results for their queries, their love for longer, more info-intensive articles is growing.

People use search engines to find information. Search engines try to find the best and if someone doesn't refine the search after clicking on a link they [the search engines] will take note of that and send you most of the 'searchers' who the same or search phrase or one closely related to it. The longer the article therefore, the more likely you'll cover all aspects of a topic making it less likely for someone to seek more information elsewhere.

So guys, if you liked writing short articles because they were faster to write you've got two options. Either forget them or forget what it felt like to getting organic traffic from search engines.

There are two sides on this article length issue. While it is true that lengthier articles are better for search engines and for information research, there is also an increasing demand for mobile compatible content. For mobile browsing, the shorter ones are becoming more favorable. Here's where the choice of target market comes into play as well as the usability of the shorter articles. Both long and short articles are becoming equally important depending on the end user's need.

I believe so, the more words that are relevant, the more the search engines can lock on to your blog or website.

Sure it's a good idea to write longer articles, because it will allow you to add as many keywords in the artice as you can as well as allow you to add in LSI keywords. But make sure to make it interesting and attractive, otherwise if a visitor comes to your site and sees a wall of text they may hit that back button.

Article length doesn't matter, what matter is-
    Unique content.
    Quality content.
    Content written by human.
    Updated content.

I do not think that quantity of article is matters. If you post the quality content with the valuable information. It is better than the quantity of the article. But for the article marketing we have follow all the guidelines of the article website before posting.

Articles shouldn't be too long unless they are the "long form" articles you see on some sites. It is a happy medium that has to be found.

    Long Form
Long form articles are usually ones that almost mimic articles in a magazine, since they are so long for web. They can be on many different topics, but are for niche or less general issues.

    Blog Posts
Blog posts are more of a medium to small version of long form posts. You don't want to make them either too long or too short, depending on your audience. Testing different lengths also helps too.

    Forums
These are also very varied depending on who you're trying to attract. Whichever length you decide, like on this forum has to make sense for the question or response.

All of these just vary according to your audience, so length is determined by both audience and content.

I think, article content does more matter than article length. Article length depends on article subject, information that you share, target audience and purpose of article.
