In my opinion I would say that classified ads is a great technique if you have a company selling services like real estate, tax services, legal services and etc. However I would not recommend ad classifieds for product based companies since they won't be able to target the type of audience they are looking to acquire. Personally small businesses could really benefit from such methods or growing businesses but not mature businesses.
