No, I don't think that nofollow links affects your organic ranking. Nofollow links don't pass any link juice. so They are not helpful in increasing Pagerank. There are so many link building techniques which are useful to get dofollow backlinks such as guest blogging, Social bookmark etc.

No, The no-follow link doesn't hit the website but google does not count it so it is a waste of time. At that time we can make do-follow links too.

a no-follow link can have an indirect effect on rankings.

A no-follow link may cause someone to discover a useful page and link to it. A no-follow link from a popular related web page can help build popularity.

Google’s algorithm is tuned to satisfy the most users for the most popular user intent. Users expect to see certain sites or certain kinds of sites ranking for their search intent.

    Hi,

According to new Google update a link with "nofollow" attribute will never hurt your site ranking but now Google has given a new sign of ranking if it is coming from a trustworthy site. Google now give importance to nofollow attribute.
