Linkbaiting is basically creating content which should get other content producers to link to it. It should increase the number of inbound links to some content and then improve its performance in search engine results. The most common linkbaiting tactics are creating titles that draw readers to the content and developing reciprocal relationships with other content producers, in which you share links to their content and they to yours.

Link baiting is writing a content of a site so informatively and perfectly that other people give its link on the sites to visit the site with the perfect content. e. g. Wikipedia is a site that share links as references of sites. Its own references are also given on many sites to learn more about particular information.

I thinks link baiting is a viral marketing form, and can be extremely powerful, as it draws traffic to a website without keyword searches or specific searches for that web page...

Link baiting is also called second tier link building. You include a link to web 2.0 properties or social bookmarking then link back to money sites. It's main aim is to improve your backlinking to your real site.

Link baiting is the process of crating attractive, interesting, engaging and informative content so that other bloggers or content writers want to link to your article in their contents. Most often it is not easy to get other people to link to your sources unless you are a trustworthy and famous blogger. for this purpose, you need to post about a interesting topic and get in to in depth analysis with infographics, video and statistics.

These are headlines designed specifically to encourage people to link, share or click. They are often purposely provocative, use loaded terminology (e.g. act, urgent, secret, discover), pose questions or are packed with compelling numbers.

The first thing I can confirm is that on my site at least, linkbait headlines did cause a bump in traffic. Posts were shared more, and more people clicked through to view my posts. In short, linkbait worked as advertised, at least initially.

    Hi,
Linkbaiting is more an art than work. There are lots of linkbuilding techniques out there and people have asked me over and over again about which is the best one. Personally Id say linkbaiting would be one of your best shots if you have the knowledge and talent to make it work.
